What is being creative?

This is promoting a concept for a smart phone (which don't get me wrong, seems cool), but I'm mainly posting this because I like the video and the message behind it.

A reflection on What it means to be creative.

For those interested in the phone --- this video feature the Flip phone.
Flip phone is based on a concept conceived during a 6 week long workshop done by Kristian Ulrich Larsen, Ewa Sendecka, Jeppe VestergÄrd and Victoria Kusk. It was then developed further for a semester by Kristian Ulrich Larsen as part of an MA program at Kolding school of design

Fog City Mavericks

I stumbled across this great find(I will totally be buying this on DVD) I'm a big cinematic and film-making junkie (always curious to know how things work and the potential for new things).  And have a love of all things related to visual storytelling... and this is just choke-full of great inspiration & cinematic history chronicling more than a century of cinematic achievement by Bay Area filmmakers.
Gary Leva’s feature documentary explores the rich cultural heritage of cinema in the San
Francisco Bay area. Through interviews with such filmmakers as George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Philip Kaufman, Saul Zaentz, Clint Eastwood, John Lasseter and many others, Fog City Mavericks uncovers the independent spirit and unique vision that characterizes this extraordinary collection of cinema pioneers.

The film also examines how the DNA of San Francisco affects – and reflects – the lives and work of its artists, mirroring the culture of individuality and innovation that makes San Francisco a unique creative community.

Fog City Mavericks had its world premiere at the 50th San Francisco International Film Festival and can now be seen on the Starz Network or on DVD from Anchor Bay.
As soon as you get a chance,...
