The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - movie trailer - and a look behind the scenes

From the makers of the "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy, comes a new trailer for the much-anticipated return to middle earth... in the film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" ... (set to hit theaters December 14, 2012)

  Enjoy the video:

Bonus Feature:
The Hobbit: Peter Jackson's Video Blog from the Set
Here is the first 5 installments, currently out, of an informative look behind the scenes of the current making of the feature film "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" hosted by the film's director Peter Jackson.

For fans and film making enthusiasts these really are fantastic, showing footage from per-production, production, and post-production giving viewers a rare look at the life and culture of film making, some of the logistics, shooting in studios and on epic locations... As well as a look at some of the technology developed and used during the filming --- such as proprietary camera rigs built to shoot in 3D, and to help further push the boundaries of the-movie-goer-experience these cameras are shooting footage at 48 frames per second (twice that of the normal film rate) for a more immersive experience.  To go along with these new technologies are also more time-honored traditions like planning everything out by drawing with pencils and paper :) ,with a bit of a twist, actually creating concept art for 3D perception (with versions for each eye)... touching on all this and more check it out this series is well worth the watch...
